Being engaged and active within the communities we serve is paramount.
My goal is for citizens to know the deputies assigned to the community in which they live, and engage with them regularly- not just when there is a problem.

Criminal Investigations
As Sheriff, I will increase the number of assigned cases in both investigations and narcotics. Under the current administration, only 16% of criminal cases are assigned to an investigator- and citizens deserve to be served better.
Over the past few years, there has been a significant surge in drug activity, overdoses, and infiltration into our schools. This problem is complex and multifaceted, requiring an aggressive approach to narcotic activity.
Investing in Youth &
Schools
As Sheriff, I will create and implement mentorship programs between students and Deputies, and between young inmates and Deputies. These programs will aim and focus on breaking barriers, reducing at-risk behaviors, and reducing recidivism.
Deputy Welfare
Morale should be consistently high.
Deputies should be job secure.
As Sheriff, I pledge to restore the reputation of Catawba County Sheriff's Office as a great place of employment.
Open Door Policy
As Sheriff, my door will always be open for both Deputies and Citizens. I will be readily available.
